In the late 1990s, Eclipse was engaged to advise the Construction Best Practice programme (now merged into Constructing Excellence) at its inception on how to identify, evaluate, and promote construction best practice. We contributed to the DTI-funded Construction Research and Innovation Strategy Panel (CRISP), and later completed a major review of CRISP’s achievements. Sebastian Macmillan went on to be appointed as the Sector Programme Manager for Construction Research with the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC), managing a portfolio of its projects for two years.
For the Strategic Forum for Construction, we prepared a series of recommendations targeted at various players in construction drawn from their overview report Accelerating Change.
We recently undertook a major assessment of the construction industry in one of the Emirates of the UAE, measuring its current organization and operation against international best practice.
